A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere! It reserved for a table of two and ordered calamari and 1/2 dozen oysters for starters. For the main we ordered the small traditional paella. It was perfect for two people and we finished super full! The service was super nice and the overall atmosphere was very nice. We went on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy. We made a reservation before hand so we had a table for sure! Definitely recommend to try it out for the paella!
Very cozy and relaxing vibe with chill live music. Our server was very warm-hearted and knowledgeable about the menu. The paella deserves being called the signature dish of this restaurant- very fresh seafoods and well seasoned chicken and sausage. The portion size is way more than enough for a group of two. Our meatballs were served with wrong sauce. But the owner was very kind and provided us another order free of charge.
We had an excellent experience at Cadena. The portions were really good and the quality of the food was very fresh. Keep in mind that the paella takes 25 min to cook so be prepared to have a couple drinks while you wait. I noticed they changed their beef empanada from prior pics, but man are they good! The owner is very personable as well, and I am very happy to choose this restaurant. I wish I took more pics, but don't forget the Flan as a dessert if you have a sweet tooth
My husband and I came for a date night watching the soccer game. We ordered the octopus, calamari, shrimp ceviche and patatas bravas. We ordered the Spanish sour drink. WOW. Everything was sooo good and HIGHLY recommend. Food was obviously very fresh. Service and staff were accommodating, had great recommendations and were consistently checking on our table. Thank you to our server Atseo, you made our date night even that much better. Thank you to the bartender Steven, the drink was amazing and being so helpful! We really appreciate it!
My husband and I chose to dine at Cadena Restaurant & Tapas Bar to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved the seafood paella and the pork belly. The seafood paella was cooked to perfection and had so much flavour. The service and atmosphere were amazing. We absolutely love this family run restaurant. We will definitely be back for dinner and hope to try other options on the menu!
celebrated my birthday with hubby yesterday at this lovely family owned restaurant. love the food, the beer and the service! the owner even made me a special hot sauce, so yummy! we will for sure come back again
The hospitality at Cadena is incredible, they have live music which blends so well with the atmosphere. Great drinks! My favourite margarita in the city. We had the calamari as an appetizer and the portion size was much larger than a standard calamari order anywhere else. It was lightly breaded, super fresh, the sauce they had with it was great as well. We had the surf & turf, and the lobster tail which the staff so kindly offered to make as a main even tho it wasn’t on the menu! AND they even offered to switch up the rice for a pasta! The steak & lobster tail was perfectly cooked and portion sizes were large. They had plenty of great options for dessert, we got the tiramisu it was so good!! Overall, the ambience and experience here is really great, the staff is super friendly and the food is always amazing and consistent.
Me and my friend were meeting in a restaurant on Richmond road and when we got there the whole block had no power. We decided to take a chance and went into Cadena Restaurant, WOW! It was a great decision. We never had Spanish food so it was out of our comfort zone and was very surprised of our choice of tapas. The food was hot and flavorful. I will definitely be back to try the paella.
